Out of desperation for affection, Gloria begins to fall for the advances of Lance, an American golf pro who is giving her "private" lessons. Based on Rosalie Ham's best selling novel, The Dressmaker is the story of femme fatale Tilly Dunnage who returns to her small home town in the country to right the wrongs of the past.
The two actors played childhood soulmates who grow up and get married, only to have their relationship fall apart when Melanie leaves Jake to pursue a fashion career in New York City. A mid-credits sequence shows that they have a baby daughter, Melanie continues to thrive as a designer, and Jake opens a "Deep South Glass" franchise in New York. This is a pretty solid sequel, thanks in large part to franchise creator John Hughes who wrote the script.

As Melanie reunites with her parents and old friends, she is forced to reevaluate her new-and-improved self. In the process, she rediscovers a love that she thought she had lost. Her rare blend of intelligence, wit, and beauty are a wonder to behold. Adding to the charm are Lucas and Dempsey, who portray characters who are hard to root against.
The film follows the fortunes of Charles and his friends as they wonder if they will ever find true love and marry. Charles thinks he's found "Miss Right" in Carrie, an American. This British subtle comedy revolves around Charlie, his friends and the four weddings and one funeral which they attend.

But home starts to tug at her heartstrings, and what she thought she wanted may not be what she wants at all. Melanie follows and gets drunk, insults her old school friends, and outs her longtime friend, Bobby Ray.
Determined to show Matt that the sweetest things in life are worth any price, Jenny rallies the community to help save the event and unexpectedly finds herself falling for the magnate in the process. The Judge—a 2014 film with a similar plot of a protagonist with a successful big city career drawn back to an old hometown. Although centered in a fictional version of the town of Pigeon Creek, near a fictional version of Greenville, Alabama, the film was mostly shot in Georgia. The Carmichael Plantation, which Melanie tells the reporter is her childhood home, is the Oak Hill Berry Museum, a historic landmark in Georgia which is near the campus of Berry College in Rome, Georgia.

On her wedding day, as she is walking down the aisle, her lawyer shows up and explains that Jake has signed the divorce papers, but she has not. Melanie decides to not sign the papers, and that she does not want to marry Andrew, because she still loves Jake, which Andrew understands. She runs away from her wedding to go find Jake, who is on the same beach where, years ago, ten-year-old Jake had told her that he wanted to marry her "so I can kiss you anytime I want." Melanie Carmichael, an up and rising fashion designer in New York, has gotten almost everything she wished for since she was little. She has a great career and the JFK-like fiancée of New York City.
They undeniably need each other, and unsure of what to do, they start a series of "fishing trips", in order to spend time together. The relationship struggles on for years until tragedy strikes. The biggest issue (and it's a really big one) about the first sequel in the franchise is that it's a carbon copy of the original. Despite the story itself being lame, there are some impressive traps and physical comedy. The latest movie in the franchise was made specifically for Disney+, and though it has a bigger budget and bigger stars than the previous two listed, it's still mediocre. If the lame acting and story weren't bad enough, even the traps set for the villains are pathetic. It indicates a way to close an interaction, or dismiss a notification.
A mid-western farm boy reluctantly becomes a member of the undead when a girl he meets turns out to be part of a band of southern vampires who roam the highways in stolen cars. He tells everyone, "Melanie Carmichael is dead." Everyone is in shock. Then he says, "Long live Felony Melanie," which is the nickname from her youth. They then go and dance as the Lynyrd Skynyrd song "Sweet Home Alabama" plays and the credits start.
Andrew finds out that Melanie is still married to Jake and runs off angrily. A New York socialite returns to Alabama to obtain a divorce after a seven-year separation. The film grossed over $35 million in its opening weekend and earned over $130 million domestically during its theater run. It made another $53 million at the worldwide box office, with a budget of $30 million. Jake's glassblowing shop was filmed at an old mill named Starr's Mill, in Fayette County, Georgia.
Even with the director of the first two movies, Chris Columbus, exiting and being replaced by "Never Been Kissed" helmer Raja Gosnell, it's Hughes' attachment that proves vital. And if all that wasn't enough of a shock, the premise delivers a major jolt. Finds out her lifetime best friend is engaged, she simply must serve as Lillian's maid of honor. Though lovelorn and broke, Annie bluffs her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals. With one chance to get it perfect, she'll show Lillian and her bridesmaids just how far you'll go for someone you love. Iends, and his son Petey fears going to school owing to being bullied.
Melanie goes to the Carmichael plantation and apologizes to Bobby Ray, whose family lives there. She is cornered there by Kate's assistant, sent to gather information on Melanie's background. Bobby Ray backs up her pretense that she is a relative and the family mansion is her childhood home.
